The last part particularly made me laugh – one of my Qatari colleagues recently came back to work after 3 months (if not more) of being off due to an operation, so when he came back to the office I was so delighted to see him that I hugged him – mistake! It was funny as simultaneously, my head was saying ‘you can’t hug him’, my mouth was saying ‘Welcome back! Can I give you a hug?’ but my body just went straight into the hug without listening to my head or waiting for his answer. He recoiled and stiffened up like an ironing board, and stood as far away as possible whilst holding out his hand for me to shake. I’m still mortified now every time I see him! Great podcast ladies!x
